A couple of  Wednesday night before the No Gi class we talked what it means to be a good partner. Being a good partner is a term that everyone has heard and formed an opinion about but rarely talks about. I thought it would be good to share what other people's thought are on this subject.

I saw a discussion about this on another site and thought I would get your opinions.  One of the best BJJ matches I have ever seen is 2004 championship between Jacare and Roger Gracie.  should Roger have won because he broke Jacare's arm and without being under the limmitations of round times would have probably finished him?  Did Jacare only win because he could run away and let the time run out as he was up on points?  What say you?

1:30: I love the De La Riva guard , and Kron refuses to be swept. He falls on his butt but hops back up again.

For me:

1. Reiteration of the importance of knee-elbow in all positions
2. Gripping the collar is a Good Thing
3. The sick guard recovery from the smash pass
4. The sweet sweep from deep half guard
5. Pushing the hips down from guard top and focusing your weight on them.
