Tournament Summary - Revolution Nov. 2011

On Saturday, November 12, eight Five Rings athletes and a troop of supporters travelled up to Bonney Lake, WA, to compete in the Revolution Tournament. It was a particularly cool day because the Seattle Ribeiro affiliate - Miller's Martial Arts Academy - came as a part of the Ribeiro Lovato NW Team.

Galvao Seminar - Great Jiu Jitsu Displayed

On Saturday November 12th, while one troop from Five Rings went north to work their Jiu JItsu at The Revolution tournament, seven athletes headed over to Impact JJ to attend a seminar by the immensely talented Andre Galvao of Atos Jiu Jitsu.

Frequent questions I get are "What do I have to do to get my blue belt" and "How can I get better faster?".

Presuming that there is a clear idea of "what a blue belt is" and what skills they should have in order to achieve this goal - which is certainly the case at Five Rings, then these questions translate into, "How can I learn more effectively."

Tournament Report: The Revolution - August '11

On Saturday, August 20, Five Rings Jiu Jitsu took over 25 athletes, coaches, and support staff to Bonney Lake, Washington, to participate in the Revolution Tournament.
